Acupuncture is an energetic form of medicine that is thousands of years old. Through the manipulation of very fine needles, acupuncture is a safe and effective way to maintain and restore optimal health. My goal as a practitioner is to provide the finest in both traditional energetic techniques, such as Acupuncture, and many newer energetic techniques that have been discovered in the last century. Although each patient's treatment plan is different, very often I am able to reduce the number of office visits by combining Acupuncture treatments with NAET, The Bowen Technique, Tuina, Qi Gong and the use of Cold Lasers. I have been working in the alternative healthcare field for over 17 years. Originally trained as a Massage Therapist, I took my work to a deeper level by receiving a Master's Degree in Acupuncture from the Tri-State College of Acupuncture. There I studied Acupuncture Physical Medicine with Dr. Mark Seem and Japanese Meridian Acupuncture with Kiiko Matsumoto. These two styles have greatly influenced the work that I do today. At present I am on the teaching faculty at the college.

Previous to my work in this field, for more than a decade, I was a professional opera singer and sang as a soloist with the NYC Opera. While I was singing, I had the opportunity to experience the work of practitioners all over the world and felt first hand what a profound effect Acupuncture can have on maintaining and reclaiming good health. Because of this connection I have worked with many performers over the years, including instrumentalists, dancers, actors and singers.

In my practice I see a great number of patients with chronic pain. I also work with many patients that have allergies that affect their respiratory or digestive tract. Energetic work helps your body remember how to repair and right itself after illness and injury. My goal is to make this a pain-free process that can be accomplished as quickly as possible.

I have a close working relationship with several medical doctors and physical therapists in the New York City area. Often, we work with a patient as a team to facilitate a speedy recovery.
